Lawrence J. Falli
Lawrence was originally licensed to practice law in Illinois and the Northern District of Illinois in 2000. In 2009, the State of Texas granted him a license to practice in that state. He joined Barnett & Garcia in 2012 after 7 years with the Office of the Illinois Attorney General.
As an Assistant Attorney General, he practiced civil litigation before the Illinois state and federal courts as well as numerous administrative boards. The Attorney General entrusted first-chair trial responsibility in multi-million dollar cases and injunctions impacting state agencies. In his free time, Falli taught as an adjunct professor of legal writing at The John Marshall Law School, University of Illinois at Chicago.
Prior to joining the AG, Falli was an Assistant States Attorney in Illinois, working in the Social Security Administration’s IV-D program. In law school, he interned with the United States Environmental Protection Agency, Judge Wayne Andersen of US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and Judge Frank Orlando of the Illinois Circuit Court.
Lawrence graduated from the John Marshall Law School/University of Illinois at Chicago where he received the Hermann Memorial Dean’s Scholarship, a West Publishing Award, the Cali Excellence Award. He studied abroad at King’s Inns in Dublin, Ireland concentrating on negotiations and comparative trial advocacy.
Currently, Falli is a member of the American Bar Association, the Austin Bar Association, and MENSA.
